Blessings Abound

What a great day to be Brenna's first full day out of the hospital!! Riley and Quinn are doing great. I think they decided that if their mommy and daddy couldn't be with them there they are going to hurry it up and get out of their as soon as possible!!!!!

Quinn has continued to do well off of the CPAP and is on only 21% oxygen( which is basically what we breathe in) through a nasal cannula!!! He has done so well with it and his feedings that he is now up to what they consider a full feed AND they are going to let Brenna and Geoff try to give him his first bottle tonight!!!!!!! Also, due to his good feedings, his IV will be coming out.

Both Riley and Quinn are off of their billi lights too!!! Riley is almost back to her birth weight and Quinn is just right behind her in getting to his birth weight!!

And, drum roll, please...

QUINN CAME OUT OF THE FULL NICU and is now in the step down NICU with Riley. A little maneuvering of some babies and they will be bunking right next to each other now!!

And... don't you just love how the good news keeps coming...

Brenna got to HOLD BOTH BABIES AT ONE TIME!!!!! Talk about a great moment for her!! She said she was so in shock by it all that all she good do was muster up a goofy grin the whole time. Geoff wasn't there but don't worry she got the nurses to take pictures and video.

If they don't pass out before they get to it they'll try to post some pictures later tonight!!

Lots of blessings today - praise God. We always know he's carrying us but how great to see it with such certainty.

Keep praying that...

* Quinn will continue to do well as they lessen his oxygen
* Quinn will take his feedings by mouth well
* they will both stay off their billi lights
* Riley will continue to handle her increased feedings and put on her weight quickly
* Riley will continue to be free of her extra heartbeats
*Brenna and Geoff will get rest and adjust well to a schedule that allows them the most time with the babies and still get enough rest
* Geoff as he has begun to get back to work some - that he'll be able to concentrate at work and manage the demands of the office and home well

Hi Mrs. Osborn,

This is Aniqua and Mom. We are also praying for Quinn,Riley and your family. You are so right; God will take care of them. I remember at the beginning of the school year, you mentioned in your "Important Things about Me" poem that you love the Lord. Well he loves you and he always takes care of his children.

Be Blessed,

Aniqua and Family

P.S.
Mrs.Osborn I really miss you and I wish that you could come back to teach us!!!:)
