Birthday Party

It's been over a month, but here's the kids' 2nd Birthday Party...

They love suckers, so I got creative and made a sucker tree!

I made the kids cakes this year and loved doing it!  Quinn's blue monkey!

Riley's pink monkey!

Playing on Pop's golf green, such a hit with all the kids!

Quinn loving on his cousin Nick!

As usual, Riley with her big cousin Ford!  He is so good to her!

What other ways can I use a golf club?

Singing to Quinn!

He wasn't so sure about all the attention being on him.

Since Riley was born 2nd, she gets sung to after her brother.

She loved all the attention on her!  See that smile?!?

She also LOVED her cake and ice cream!
Huge difference from her 1st birthday!

Quinn loved it too!
And thank you Nana for the adorable shirts you made them :)

Fun with friends!

I love this picture of the chaos that is opening gifts! So fun!

The got these cute chairs that they love sitting in, along with lots of fun new toys!

A few days after their birthday I looked back at the pictures and realized that we did not get any of Geoff and I with the kids, or really any posed pictures with anyone!  I guess that's how it is with two 2 year olds, they don't slow down long enough to pose so you just take what you can get!

The night before the party we went to Grammie and Pop's house, Uncle Pete was there too so we decided to put Quinn and Riley in a room together to sleep and see what would happen.  They have not really been in a room to sleep together since they were 5 or 6 months old.  The week before was cousin Evan's birthday and the kids started calling it his "Happy Day" so we kept telling them it was going to be their "Happy Day".  They went to bed, a little late, and were quite for about the first 20 min.   We think they just didn't realize they were in there together because as soon as they did the talking and laughing began.  We have a video monitor so we could see and hear them and it was hilarious!  They kept telling each other "Happy Day" and then giggling, they would also pop their heads up to see each other and then lay back down and giggle.  It was so funny and we let them carry on for awhile, after all that's what having a sibling in the room is about right?  We eventually had to quiet them down, a few times, and they still didn't get to sleep until about 2 hours after their normal bedtime!  They were a little tired the next day, but no too tired to have lots of fun at their birthday so that was good :)
