Wedding Weekend!

Our good friends Eric and Teresa got married at the end of June.  We had such a great wedding weekend celebrating with them!  Oh, and my dream came true, Quinn and Riley got to be in a wedding!  I don't have any pictures of them holding hands and walking down the isle, but hopefully I can get some from the amazing photographer :)  This spring Eric and Teresa's little boy Jace, who is also 2, spent several afternoons with us a week.  Quinn and Riley absolutely love him like a brother and they light up when they get to see Eric and Teresa as well!

I can check making a wedding cake off my bucket list!
Of course, I did not do it alone and am so thankful my amazing friend, Emily, came to help me.
Truth be told, Emily's much more expert that I am, and I just helped her :)

It seems Geoff was taking all the pictures and isn't actually in any of our pictures.   It was so fun being a part of Teresa and Eric's wedding!  We are so excited for them and this new chapter in their lives :)

Some Fun!

Awhile back we went to my brother and sister-in-law's house for the afternoon.  The kids were so excited to ride on my brother's (Joe Joe) tractor.  They actually sat on it while it was turned off.  When Aunt Jana turned it on to actually take them for a ride, they both were too scared!  However, since that day they both have talked nonstop about how "I ride Joe Joe's tractor."   It's so cute!  They also find every John Deer tractor around and think it is Joe Joe's tractor.  I'm sure my brother would be happy if all the ones that Riley and Quinn called his were really his!

Hanging out in the hammock :)

They have a deer stand and Quinn wanted to go right up.
It's probably 15 feet in the air, my brother had to kinda carry him up, but he loved it!

Riley's turn in the deer stand!
She's a lot lighter to carry up than Quinn :)

Aunt Jana had pumpkin seeds for the kids to plant so that this fall they will have their very own pumpkin!
They loved this, she's such a great Aunt!

Later, Quinn went back to Aunt Jana and Uncle Joe Joe's for the weekend.  I think he had fun being on his own for awhile, but he was happy to see his sister when he returned! They have a new lab puppy named Ellie, and Quinn and Ellie loved sharing the baby pool!

Cooling off

Aunt Jana got Quinn some boots so he could help her in her garden!

Hanging out with Ellie!
Thanks for having me Aunt Jana and Uncle Joe Joe!  I had a blast!
Love,
Quinn

We also watched our neighbor, and kid's babysitter, Christine go off to two different proms.  Riley loved seeing her all dressed up! She is a girly girl and loves all things dresses, high heels, and jewelry!

Riley with beautiful Christine!

Her 2nd Prom, and a different dress!

I decided that mommy would feel best if Quinn and Riley go to prom together one day!
Well, maybe they can at least go in the same group :)

Easter 2011

We returned from Europe the night before Easter so we stayed home Easter morning and played with the kids.  We really didn't like missing church but we couldn't stand to go and put the kids in nursery and be away from them.  I don't think Quinn and Riley would have liked that either; they were pretty clingy that morning. My parents, my brother and his wife, and Geoff's brother all came for lunch at Geoff's parent's house.  It was great to see our family and tell them all about our trip!  We got back to our house that night and were exhausted but happy to be home.  Being back with our beautiful children was a wonderful way to celebrate our Risen Savior and how important Easter is to our faith in Christ!

Easter basket time

Cool new shades, that she loved!
Of course they broke a few weeks later.

Quinn was excited about the chocolate bunny!
He even got a few bites before breakfast :)

Getting ready for an egg hunt!

Found one!

I just marveled at how much they had grown in the 10 days I was gone!

Such a big boy!

We actually remembered to get a family picture :)
